Could you be OVERSTRETCHING? Yeah…not “could you?” You are!
If what I take 45 minutes to fix in my clinic, as your therapist, you take the next 10 hours undoing, it’s a net loss and an eventual breakdown and fail.
There is so much to do it is mind boggling and often stressful.
Deciding you don’t care… you just want what feels good, isn’t helping you.
Don’t be discouraged. I have figured it out, and I can help you. I use my friends (whom are coaches) as the experts for my kids.
“I want to drop 30 lbs.” That’s a Great goal. But there are a million unhealthy ways to be successful. You could starve. You could join a Siberian Labor Camp – You could lose a leg. These, my friends are terrible ideas.
The athletic trainer (in conjunction with coaches) is best suited to assess the athlete’s day to day recovery and return to play and practice. They can be an active part and watch in real time in real conditions. A doctor in an office, cannot.
